Each of us has a
story to tell about our favorite songs. A good friend of mine shared a story that goes with this song which he said he will never forget...
One day, he was browsing some records and cds in a record store when he overheard a woman talking to the store clerk asking for a certain song. She began to sing part of the lyrics which, fortunately, my friend knows. He approached the counter and told them that the title of the song was "I Think I'll Tell Her" by Ronnie Dyson. The woman was so ecstatic that she kissed him all over his cheeks. My friend was startled but was also as happy not only because he was able to help the woman but also of the kisses he received from her ... hahaha.
This song is about a
married man who fell in love with another woman.
Each night it seems
I
Toss and turn till
morning's light
Thinking about you
Lord's so hard
sometimes it hurts
Got to find the
courage deep within myself
To tell her I'm in
love with someone else
I 'll hurt her I
know
But we've got to
live for ourselves
I think I'll tell
her
I think I'll tell
her
I think I'll tell
her
What's on my mind,
my mind
Strange how love
changes
When I married
her I swore
I could not be
tempted
By another woman's
lure
'bout a year ago we
met
You touched my hand
Lord above you know
it wasn't planned
We fell in love now
the one I love will be hurt
I think I'll tell
her
I think I'll tell
her
I think I'll tell
her
What's on my mind,
my mind
'bout a year ago we
met
You touched my hand
Lord above you know
it wasn't planned
We fell in love now
the one I love will be hurt
I think I'll tell
her
I think I'll tell
her
I think I'll tell
her
What's on my mind,
my mind ...
