LSS: A Thousand Years Part 2

My daughter wanted so much to watch Twilight when it was released in 2008, she was barely 13 years old then. She’s so hooked into watching movies about vampires. I asked her what is it about vampire movies she liked; she just replied with, “eeeee, I just like it”.

So off we went and watched the movie even if I’m not fond of such, after all it would be a nice idea of bonding with my daughter. After the movie, I thought to myself, “it wasn't bad at all”, I even fell in love with the love story of Bella and Edward. My daughter said a sequel might follow as it is based on a 4-book novel. So I said, “e ‘di ibig sabihin panonoorin natin lahat ‘yon pag ginawang movie”, my daughter grinned at me. Funny thing is, when all sequels were released, I was always the one who initiated and asked my daughter to see each movie.  

We saw Part 2 of Breaking Dawn today and for me it was a stunning ending to the saga and the best among 5 sequels. My favorite scene was the battle between the Volturi and Cullen’s troop, it held our breaths, made us sad and felt relieved after. The twist and turns of the story actually played with the viewers' emotions, which made it more fascinating.  

At home after the movie, daughter can’t wait to surf the net for the song ‘A Thousand Years’; she believed it has a different lyrics from the first one. She found the song and she was right and played it all through the night.
